Federal Ironguard UCF Key
The Federal UCF key ss a double sided steel key with a magnetic pin and dimple cuts the key will have a total of 8 cuts per side of the key but will only appear to have 4 – this is because it what we call pin within pin technology. So basically a row of dimple cuts with anouther row within the original row of smaller cuts.
The magnetic disc on the key Is there to activate the magnetic pin within the lock – this is all to do with the anti pick and bumping technology within the lock,
This is why it really is imperative to use a key cutter that uses Genuine UCF blanks and electronic cut to code machines
An original federal UCF key is identified as it will have the word Federal lock embossed on the quite larger than average head of the key and usually stamped in the top left hand corner with the code FR155 – also on your key will be a unique UCF key code number this is all that is required to cut your key to code. We do not need to physically see your key to duplicate it all we need is the code stamped on your key. The number will start with the letter C
